Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Human Resources student to join our team for our Human Resources department in Darlington, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence July 2025.

External Qualifications and Competencies

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Supporting over 900 employees and managers at the Darlington Engine Plant in customer and business focused support functions.
• Partnering directly with employees and managers on all areas of the people profession.
• Quickly gain responsibility on key projects and will gain exposure to senior management and leaders across the organization.
• Coordinating inductions and production schedules.
• Administrating promotions.
• Drafting contracts.

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Being enrolled on a degree with significant HR content which includes a 12-month industry placement.
• Must have a passion for learning, be able to work inclusively and value people.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude due to direct employee and manager contact and support required.
• High level of confidentiality due to the nature of the work in the HR team.
