The PPG Placement Programme will give you the opportunity to experience many areas of our business. You will be given specific responsibilities in your chosen role, and will not only develop skills in leadership and management, organisation and planning, team work and communication, but you will also build your personal confidence and gain a better understanding of future career preferences.

No matter what you want to achieve in your career, we’ll give you all the support, knowledge and experience you need to learn, develop and grow your potential. We will support you to put your skills and knowledge gained into practice, and develop an understanding of how they can add value within a dynamic business environment.

You will spend the first 3 months of your placement getting to know the business, your colleagues, the department you will be working in and how it contributes to the wider organisation and all the key information you will need to know in order to be successful in your role. Following your comprehensive induction you will then be given full responsibility for achieving your objectives successfully over the remaining course of your placement.

You will be provided with regular opportunities to build a network both within your functional area and the wider organisation, develop yourself through our internal training programmes and share ideas and feedback with your team.
Your line manager will provide you with regular performance and development reviews and you’ll have the chance to regularly meet with fellow placement students. Your line manager will also encourage you to complete a monthly professional development log to support your development over the course of your placement, and provide the necessary support you may need to complete any university work during your placement.

At the end of the placement we’ll take the time to reflect on your experiences and recognise your achievements at a celebration event. You will also have the opportunity to shape the placement programme for the next intake, be involved in recruitment and selection process, and then the handover to and manage the induction of new students.
